TradeProfit ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account registration data: name and email address.
- Business profile data: country, currency preference, tax settings.
- Setup data: overhead categories and amounts, vehicle cost details, labour rates.
- Job data: job names, customer names, addresses, notes, cost inputs, and outcomes.
Information collected automatically:
- Authentication session tokens (managed via Supabase Auth).
- Basic usage data such as pages visited and feature interactions, used to improve the Service.
- Device type and browser for compatibility purposes.
We do not collect payment card details. Any subscription billing is handled by a third-party processor who operates under their own privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate your identity and keep your account secure.
- To perform the calculations and display results you request.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. account confirmation, password reset).
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, Inc., a third-party cloud infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Job and setup data is retained until you delete it or close your account. After account deletion, residual data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate TradeProfit:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
Each provider processes data only as necessary to deliver their service and is bound by their own privacy and security commitments.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies solely to manage your authenticated session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in to the Service.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to certain processing activities.

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. International Transfers
TradeProfit operates globally and your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. For material changes, we will notify you by email or prominent in-app notice.
